11 Jul RUSH Preggie Bars – a healthy snack
I love finding great products for you guys to try and this latest one is especially for my preggie ladies. I know during my pregnancy I was always a little peckish and yet, nervous to eat the wrong thing, I wanted a nutritious snack. So, when I was sent these RUSH Preggie Bars I was so excited to try them.
Packed full of pomegranates, cranberries, goji berries and dates, these bars do hit the sweet tooth. They claim to be free from preservatives, gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs and refined sugars. I personally found the taste and texture of the bar appealing because I knew it was made with whole-foods and would be good for me and my baby.
The bars are also high in fibre, low in sodium and low fat so it’s a smart snack choice in my opinion. But I didn’t just want to give you my opinion – I asked my friend, Nathalie Mat, a registered dietitian and preggie mommy-to-be to get her professional opinion of these RUSH Preggie Bars…
“While pregnant, the appetite can do strange things and being prepared is the best way to make sure you don’t develop “hanger” (being so hungry you get angry). Carrying fresh fruit around is a great choice but it isn’t always convenient and that is where fruit and whole-food bars can be really useful.”
