As holiday season approaches, we want to look good in our bikinis and summer clothes but we don’t necessarily want to sacrifice too much time in the gym. Well here’s a workout you could literally do anywhere – in the park, at the beach, in your hotel room or poolside.
A great piece of workout equipment everyone should own is a skipping rope. It is relatively inexpensive and will take up very little space in your travel bags.
I like to call this workout “The Holiday Circuit”.
I would normally do 4-5 rounds of this circuit. If you’re starting out, aim for 3-4 rounds.
You could theoretically just do this circuit 2-3 times a week and be good to go all summer holiday long!
Equipment needed: a skipping rope
Warm-up: Jumping jacks for 3-5 minutes or until you feel warm all over.
Workout:
• 10-15 burpees (Beginners go for 10 burpees)
• Skip for 2 minutes
• 10 pushups (Beginners if you cannot do a full pushup, do them on your knees)
• 25 jump squats (remember to keep your chest up!)
• Mountain climbers for 30 seconds
• Skip for 2 minutes
• Jumping jacks for 30-60 seconds
• REST (1 minute max)
START AGAIN, GO FOR 4 ROUNDS, IF YOU ARE FEELING STRONG, DO 5 ROUNDS.
