It’s one of those parts of being a woman that none of us like to talk about and loath to deal with. Let’s face it ladies – hair removal is not fun and is a tedious part of our existence, yet a necessary one to maintain if we hope to look presentable.

I would be remiss in not admitting that I have been blessed with not being too hairy. I have never put a shaver, wax or anything of the sort to my legs or arms. However, underarms, bikini and brows are a different story – there I am just like everyone else.

One of the big pluses of pregnancy, due to consuming so much folic acid/folate, it stimulates hair growth, which is great for the hair on my head, because it has never been so thick, healthy and shiny and grown at such a rapid rate until now. However, there is a setback to this too, it also means everywhere else on my body where hair does grow, is experiencing the same effects. Not so nice for me.

So, I was so glad when I was asked to try the Veet Sensitive Touch Beauty Styler. It is the first device from Veet specially tailored to gently trim and precisely shape your sensitive body parts, such as face, bikini and underarms.

I am always in gym wear, so keeping my underarm area hair-free is essential, so having this nifty little tool that needs no gels or creams in order to give a clean shave is great! I was a bit skeptical when I first fired it up to use it, but as the name suggests that it is ‘sensitive’ to your delicate areas, it didn’t pull at my hair and removed it pain free.

As for my bikini area – with pregnancy, this also suddenly became a chore to manage, so I started waxing, which was never needed before. Between bikini wax visits to my salon, the Veet Sensitive Touch Beauty Styler was the ideal tool to help maintain my sensitive areas.

It can also be used to shape your eyebrows, I was not brave enough to do that though, knowing me, I would probably have found a way to shape mine incorrectly and my eyebrow lady would have never forgiven me! But if you are brave and capable enough to use it there, it has functionality to provide that service as well.

The question is – is it worth the R320.00 it retails for? At this juncture in my life – it is certainly a nifty tool to have as part of my beauty arsenal and worth the money because it is multi functional.

Veet has done a great job at providing a small, stylishly designed highly practical hair removal tool.
